Week 7 – “What will your next thought be?”

For me, it went blank for a moment. I stepped out of myself and became the observer, a powerful experience considering this week I have repeatedly attempted the Mental Diet by Emmet Fox. It’s been a week of dress rehearsals for when I truly believe I can do it for 7 full days in a row. I have to say, though I am becoming increasingly self-aware and less opinionated. I am a work in progress and that’s fine with me.

I first heard about this little but profound book by Emmet Fox from one of Tony Robbins audio’s and how it profoundly changed his life.

Becoming the Farmer

The first step is ‘Idealisation’

…See the end before a single step is taken; so you are to picture in your mind what you want; you are sowing the seed, but before sowing any seed YOU WANT TO KNOW WHAT THE HARVEST IS TO BE!

These last two weeks, it’s been fun creating a dream board with our smart goals with our PPN’s (Personal Pivotal Needs) included in the shapes and posted around the house. I enjoy having them on my dashboard in my car because they reflect in the windscreen and I notice them every single day.

Then there was a jingle version of our DMP (Definite Major Purpose). Creating the karaoke type version of my DMP was so funny when I heard myself back on the recording. I did like the tunes I used from the composer Handel, which had pieces I recognised like the Nutcracker, that made me speak quicker. I realised the longer pauses are more effective because it helps your mind take the tune and the words in. In some areas, I know I could lengthen the pauses. Having little rapport with rhythm, I think it’s a good first attempt.

…concentrate on the things you want, not on the things you do not want. Think of abundance; idealize the methods and plans for putting the law of Abundance into operation. Visualize the condition which the Law of Abundance creates; this will result in manifestation…

Opportunity

In the book ‘THINK AND GROW RICH’ I loved key points which gave me hope because I have come to recognise just how rewarding challenges are and I feel excited when they arrive. I have grown in my capacity to be strong over the years and patience is a gift I inherited from my father. These two sentences from the book excite me and I look forward to each day as I read these words each day this week.

Opportunity has a sly habit of slipping in by the back door, and often it comes disguised in the form of misfortune, or temporary defeat. Perhaps this is why so many fail to recognise opportunity.
